How Private Room Codes Work
Private room codes do not have a specific owner and can be used by different users at different times. Anyone who has access to your room code will be able to join the room.
Guest Pass and DLC Access
When someone joins your private room, they can play any course that you (as the person who has been in the room the longest) have selected as a "Guest Pass." This allows them to access DLC content that you have purchased.
Player Blocking Limitations
Important: Blocking a player from a private match has limited effects:
- Blocking only prevents them from interacting with you
- It does not stop them from accessing a specific room code
- They cannot block you from entering a private match with a specific room code
Recommended Solution: Friends System
For better control over who can join your games:
- Add players to your friends list after playing a private match with them
- Use direct invitations through the friends system
- Start exclusive rounds that don't require room codes
This method provides true privacy and control over who can access your games and DLC content.
