iOS Changes with Pocket Edition Sunset:
- The Pocket Edition WMG game app will remain frozen on v6.3 and no longer receive any developer support.
- Multiplayer: The app will continue to support multiplayer with other Pocket Edition players only. Cross-play will no longer function.
- Purchasing and Ownership
- Users will no longer be able to purchase Pocket Edition from the App Store. DLC will still be in-app purchasable by anyone who has already purchased the base Pocket Edition app.
- Users will continue to own any-all courses purchased after the game is removed from the storefront. Managed Downloads will continue to function.
- To redownload the WMG game app, navigate to the App Store > Account (tap your profile picture in upper righthand corner) > Purchase History > Find Walkabout Mini Golf
- Troubleshooting:
- If you are on any kind of Family Sharing plan, ensure that you do not have restrictions on app downloads/updates via parental control restrictions.
- Some Focus and "Do not disturb" settings can also impede updates and downloads, so we recommend disabling those while attempting to install the app.
How much does Pocket Edition cost?

How do I change my profile name?
Your profile name is pulled from the user's input Game Center nickname. To change your Game Center profile name, you will need to go to your device's settings, scroll to Game Center, and tap. Then you will see a 'Nickname' field, where you can make edits. This will update your in-game display name.
Which devices support Pocket Edition?
Device Support: Pocket Edition launched on iOS 17 and supports devices with an A12 Bionic or greater; see Apple's support documentation for a list of compatible iPhone and compatible iPad devices. Note: Devices listed may not be fully optimized for playing Pocket Edition due to device memory/RAM capacity, user wear-and-tear, etc.; support is variable and may be updated or changed by Apple. Mighty Coconut is not held responsible for supporting all hardware instances listed above.
Is cross-purchase or cross-progress available for iOS?
Our Guest Pass ability works between VR cross-play and iOS, which allows Private Room players to share owned courses. Cross-buy is not supported nor allowed on the iOS platform, and cross-progress is not supported.
Where do I find my Pocket Edition Profile ID?
Users will tap on their course information display, navigate to the 'Scorecard' pencil/sheet icon, then navigate to the 'Settings' gear icon. Tap the 'Options' tab. The alphanumeric string listed at the bottom of the panel is your Player ID; the text will be small.
Are lost ball locations the same between VR and mobile?
Some lost ball locations have had to be adjusted to accommodate differences in navigation, player height, visibility, and related; the positions are as close as possible to the core VR position to ensure that player guides maintain accuracy while allowing Pocket Edition players the ability to interact with any of our course lost balls. Please note that clicking on where the lost ball is in mobile, even if you can't see it but know the position, will bring it into your collection.
